Last week you read in the paper that a house burned in your town.  No one was hurt in the fire because the family who lived in the home knew the Fire Safety Rules.  Your teacher has an important assignment waiting for you.  Do you know what to do to stay safe if there is a fire?

You and your partner will each complete an information sheet about the Fire Safety Rules.  Next, you will work cooperatively to create a PowerPoint about Fire Safety to share with the class. A PowerPoint template will be given to you by your teacher.

  1. Use the online resources to learn what to do if there is a fire.
  2. Complete an information sheet about fire safety.
  3. Create a PowerPoint slideshow about fire safety.

You will receive an individual grade on the information sheet  you have completed.  You and your partner will each receive a grade for your  PowerPoint Presentation using a scoring guide.

Congratulations!  You have learned the important steps in Fire Safety.  Remember to share the information you have learned with a friend.  Now that have completed this WebQuest,  you may wish to watch this fire safety movie!
